Some of us are constantly changing the perfume they use, some of them do not give up their favorite perfumes and always like to carry the same fragrance. We do not hesitate to spend time to try different scents when choosing the right fragrance for ourselves. Today, this freedom of choice also applies to home fragrances. Having set up a school to train experts on fragrances, @aroma aims to take this process one step further. The @aroma offers natural essential oils with different fragrances to commercial customers and consumers with modern designed diffusers. I talked with Satoshi Kataoka, Founder and CEO of @aroma, about the story of @aroma.

Satoshi, before talking about @aroma, could you tell us about your background and your career in @aroma?

I started @aroma as lifestyle products importer from scratch.

@aroma is a specialized fragrance company. Could you tell us more about @aroma?

From 2000, we started as a distributor of Australian aroma diffuser and aroma oil in Japan.

We ended up as distributer in 2008 and started to produce own-brand @aroma.

What features of your solution makes @aroma different?

We are focusing on 100% pure natural essential oil and sophisticated design creation.

What is next for you?

Global expansion and collaborations with a wide range of industry.

You are offering diffusers for both business and household usage. What are their features?

We could reach out to business customers and consumers, additionally we could expand from our business key account as "B to B to C"

Could you tell us about @aroma essential oil?

@aroma's essential oils are 100% pure and natural. We pride ourselves on the quality of our scents helping people enjoy a comfortable and attractive space by revealing the unseen powers of nature.

Our belief towards scents is "nature as it is" and that belief is carried from developing the aroma products to designing the individual / public spaces.

Could you tell us about your school project? How can your customers participate in this project?

Aroma Space Design is the design of spaces using scent, fusing aromatherapy and space design.

The Aroma Space Design School provides students with the knowledge required for Aroma Space Design from a team of expert lecturers active in the field.

The content of the school is not aimed at acquiring qualifications, but rather at learning about aromas from a variety of perspectives and gaining practical skills.
