The Kurfürstendamm is one of the most popular shopping streets in Berlin, and Max Brown Ku’damm is located within walking distance to this street. Besides the advantages of its' location, the Max Brown Ku’damm offers four different room options and special breakfast service. In order to learn more about Max Brown Ku’damm, I talked to Julius Anders, Hotel Manager at Max Brown Ku’damm.
Julius, before start talking about Max Brown Hotel Ku'damm, please tell us about your background and industry experience.
I’ve studied international hospitality and tourism management in Switzerland before spending time in Malaysia and London where I’ve been part of the opening teams for the Corinthia London and Mondrian London at Sea Containers. Since having joined Europe Hotels Private Collection in January 2017 I’m responsible for the operation of our Berlin properties the Sir Savigny and Max Brown Ku’damm.

Could you tell us about Max Brown Hotel Ku'damm and the overall concept?
Max Brown Ku’damm is part of the Max Brown originating in Amsterdam and opened in February 2017 in Wilmersdorf / Berlin within walking distance to the Kurfürstendamm. At Max Brown, we live and strive to do “basics at it’s best” with a young and energetic atmosphere, comfortable beds and great breakfast allowing our guest an easy access to the city while Max Brown is the ideal city break destination for all generations.

What is Max Brown Hotel Ku'damm design concept?
A light, playful but clean and cozy atmosphere was generated by renowned Israeli designer Saar Zafir working with a dominant and mood creating color pallet to create a special destination where you immediately feel home and at comfort.

Please tell us about your Breakfast and Bar. What type of different experiences could your guests live in your hotel?
At Max Brown Ku’damm we are very fortunate to have partnered with the Benedict breakfast concept giving our guests not only a 24/7 Breakfast & Bar access but also the smell of freshly baked bread and great coffee in the morning.

It must most definitely be the amazing breakfast and energetic atmosphere our international and upbeat team creates for the guests while being in the middle of Berlin and still enjoying that right level of privacy.

What kind of additional services do you offer for business travelers?
The complimentary high-speed internet is a given nowadays and therefore available for our guests throughout the entire hotel, if some assistance with printing or arranging of city trips and activities is needed our reception team is always happy to help.

How can travelers make their individual or business/group reservations? Do you have any advantage packs that you offer to your guests? Do you have a special offer for long-term accommodations?
Any requests if for long stay or groups should always be directed to our reservations team who will look at each request and make an offer tailored to the needs of the request.

Which is the top season for travelers who want to visit Berlin? What is the reason? What are the most famous attractions near you?
Actually, Berlin is great to visit during every season. Nightlife during spring, galleries and museums during winter, strolling around parks during autumn and taking a dip in various lakes during summer.

If you have only one weekend in Berlin as a first-time visitor, in this limited time, what are the best things to do?
Visit Berlin’s famous East and walk towards the West. Bar / Club stroll, food and flea markets, galleries and museums.
How do you describe Berlin in one sentence?
In German, we use to say ‘Poor, but sexy’ (Arm, aber sexy)
