Brian, before talking about Quiet Punch, I would like to learn more about you and your entrepreneurial spirit. Could you please tell us about your life, boxing career, and your entrepreneurial side?

I was born in Queens, NY and fell in love with drawing and inventing. I loved the idea of being able to create and to share with others. I moved to the Poconos in PA when I was 10 years old and I began boxing and fell in love with the sport. When I was in high school I began computer programming and learned that I could do the same type of creating and sharing with others. I studied Computer Science at East Stroudsburg University and won my first Business Plan Competition for creating Plagiarism Detection Software. I also started a boxing gym training young kids called Pedone's Heavy Hitters. In 2008 I was recognized by BusinessWeek as one of the Top 25 Entrepreneurs 25 Years and Under in America. I ran the gym for the kids until I was 28 years old and then made the move into NYC. It was in NYC that I founded another boxing gym called Boxing For All. After 3 years I sold Boxing For All and used the money to finance and start Quiet Punch. I am always creating and love the fact that I can create on my own terms and truly embrace the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial lifestyle.

What would you like to say about your family? How did they support you throughout your entire life?

None of this would have been possible without my family. Both my mother and father are my biggest supporters. My dad always stresses to me to make sure that I keep pursuing my dreams. My mom is heavily involved in Quiet Punch and making sure that everything runs smoothly especially our customer service. My parents have worked hard to make sure that myself and my sisters have had a great place to live and make sure that we have everything that we could ever need.

How did you come up with the idea of Quiet Punch? What inspired you?

I came up with Quiet Punch after realizing that people need an easier way to box from their homes, especially when they live in tiny apartments and spaces. Not everyone has access to a gym facility and wanted to make sure that we could bring the facility to them. I also really wanted to be able to share my love of boxing with the world and make it accessible to everyone.

Could you tell us about Quiet Punch?

Quiet Punch is the first of its kind punching bag for a doorway that includes training videos. It is a portable setup that people can travel with and it takes less than 60 seconds to set it up and take it down. It is more of an easy to use punching bag that is made for the masses, specifically people who have never boxed before.

Is it only for professionals or is it suitable for everyone who would like to keep their form?

It is suitable for everyone of all ages especially since it is easy on the joints. It was made for professionals so it can take some serious punishment and our videos make sure that people keep their form.

What features of Quiet Punch makes it different?

Quiet Punch is different than traditional boxing equipment because we include a tight-knit community. We welcome and foster new people into the art of boxing. Unlike most fitness equipment we are catering to families so parents can enjoy it with their children.
