Its name means "White City" in Serbian. Belgrade is one of the centers of attraction in the Balkans. It offers its guests 24 hours of vibrant and funny life with its welcoming people, lush parks and postcards-like city views. Located on the banks of the Danube River, this city has a distinct place among the European cities due to its historical and cultural importance. There are too many places to visit and too many details to be seen. Boatel Charlie is located 20 minutes from the city center. In the shade of ancient trees, on the shore of the Danube, for those who want to have a holiday nestle with nature, Boatel Charlie offers a completely different alternative. I talked with Aleksandar Cvetanovic, Owner of Boatel Charlie, about Boatel Charlie and Belgrade.

Boatel Charlie is located on the shore of Danube. How does it possible to be on the river? Could you tell us about the story of Boatel Charlie?

Boatel Charlie was named after my father. The whole concept is based on showing the guests Belgrade from another perspective.

Could you tell us about Boatel Charlie and the overall concept?

We are positioned on the Danube, the second longest European river. Our house rests under the shade of ancient trees, and under it flows the river, which, with the constant light breeze, provides clean and fresh air and the touch of unspoiled nature. Ten minutes walk will lead you to beautiful parks, shopping mall, cinemas, cafes and restaurants, casino. The city center is just 20 minutes away by walk or you can catch a bus and you will be in the city center for 5-10 minutes.

How many different room options do you offer to your guests? Could you tell us about the features of your rooms?

We have 8 rooms (for now), 4 -double room, 2 triple room (have one extra bed) and 2 four-bed room (also have one extra bed).

What kind of services and facilities do you offer to your guest for making their stay unforgettable?

Comfortable beds, free wi-fi, free linen and towels, airconditioned space is standard for all rooms.

And when your guests step out of Boatel Charlie, What can they do?

We also can offer the guests various tourist tours, river cruises, kayak, and MTB cycling tours.

How can travelers make their individual or business/group reservations?

All guest can book over our site or send us an e-mail it is a little bit cheaper than other booking company.

If you have only one weekend in Belgrade as a first-time visitor, in this limited time, what are the best things to do?

For one weekend first-time visitors, there is plenty of things to do, for example you can visit Avala mountain near Belgrade, Kalemegdan fort , Ada lake, Zemun, old boem part of town- Skadarlija, across from our Boatel Charlie there is a large War Island with over 250 bird species with beach "Lido" where many people go swimming during the summer and night clubs on the river that makes nightlife much more interesting and so on.

How would you describe Belgrade in one sentence?

I can describe Belgrade in one sentence "24/7 ALIVE" because almost always something happens and I think that he never sleeps.
