Coway appoints Jangwon Seo as new Chief Executive Officer

Founded in 1989 in Korea, Coway has achieved global success as an environmentally friendly home appliance brand. Coway, which specializes in wellness products such as water purifiers, air purifiers and mattresses, has until now been managed by a co-CEO system.

Coway decided to change the management system after one of his co-CEOs, Hae-Sun Lee, retired. Hae-Sun Lee will continue to work on Coway's development as a part-time Advisor from February 6th.

Jangwon Seo holds a BA in Economics from Westminster College and a J.D. Degree from the University of Connecticut Law School. Having worked at Shin & Kim, one of Korea's leading law firms, Jangwon Seo was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Communications at Netmarble Corp. before joining Coway. Jangwon Seo, who joined Coway in early 2021 as Chief Financial Officer, then served as co-CEO. With the new decision, Jangwon Seo will serve as the CEO of Coway.
