Biography

Jennifer Connelly was born in Cairo, New York, to an antiques dealer mother and a textile industrialist father. Growing up in Brooklyn Heights, Jennifer Lynn Connelly attended one of the most famous art schools in the United States. After graduating from high school, she began studying English literature at Yale University. After two years, she transferred to Stanford University, and she completed her drama studies.

However, Jennifer Connelly started her professional acting career at a young age during her education life. Jennifer Connelly, who made her debut as a child model, played her first role in a TV series in 1982 when she was just 12 years old. In 1984, she made her feature film debut by playing the younger version of Elizabeth McGovern's Deborah character in “Once Upon a Time in America”. Jennifer Connelly's ballet training ensured she was selected for the role at the audition.

Jennifer Connelly, who started her career at a very young age, managed to attract attention with her performance in the movie “Labyrinth” in 1986. In the early part of her career, she acted in movies of various genres, including “Career Opportunities”, “Of Love and Shadows” and “Mulholland Falls”, and in 2000 she found opportunities that accelerated her career. The movies “Pollock” and “Requiem for a Dream” took her career up a few steps.
