Jack Black

Jack Black was born in Santa Monica, California, to a couple who were both satellite engineers. Born Thomas Jacob Black, Jack Black grew up in Hermosa Beach, California. Jack Black was introduced to the stage when he was only 13 years old when he acted in a video game commercial. Having difficulties in the traditional school education system, Jack Black began studying at a private secondary school and then attended an arts high school. Joining a theater troupe while he was studying at UCLA, Jack Black met Tim Robbins, who would appear in the same movie in the future.
