
Lily James
Born in Esher, Surrey, the daughter of a musician and actress, Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson grew up in a family with an acting tradition. Lily James, whose paternal grandmother is also an American actress, first studied at a performing arts school in Hertfordshire and then went to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London at the age of 11 to study art and acting.
Lily James made her debut in the TV series “Just William” in 2010 and portrayed the character of Ethel Brown. Then we watched her as Poppy in the TV series “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” in 2011. Attracting attention with her on-screen presence, Lily James played the character of Lady Rose MacClare in the third, fourth, and fifth seasons of “Downton Abbey”.
However, she continued her theater career very actively during this time and took part in many successful productions with famous names on the stage. Lily James has been nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards for her performance in the 2022 TV series “Pam & Tommy”.
