Documentaries are like visual encyclopedias, and the most important advantage is that they are not just dusty old information on the shelves. Although history and nature come to mind first when it comes to documentary, the way directors show their critical approaches in recent years has included many different and current issues in the scope of documentaries.

Documentaries now have a wide variety of subjects. Sometimes an endangered animal living in the Congo forests is the subject of the documentary, and sometimes in-depth research is presented about a plane crash. Sometimes it takes a look at the life of a legendary athlete, and sometimes the profile of a criminal is resolved. However, the common feature of the best documentaries is the ability to give us detailed information about subjects or details that we did not know before, in a very short time, by means of visual and narrative.

As every year, we watched documentaries on a wide variety of subjects in 2022 as well.
